Help support the Columbia Review

What is the function of art? I am hard put to determine just what label I bear, for I must confess that I do not know what the function of art is. I do not think any one knows.
— Robert Giroux, vol. 15 no. 5

The Columbia Review is compiled and run entirely by undergraduate students. We are grateful to receive much of our funding from the Activities Board at Columbia, but rely on external donations to cover full printing costs and to host speaker events and open mics on campus every semester. In light of budget cuts and the Columbia Review’s recent loss of funding from the Arts Initiative, we are especially in need of support from individuals and groups.

The Columbia Review is designated as a nonprofit organization. As such, donations are tax-deductible, and donors will receive an automated email confirmation of their gift. Furthermore, donors with a special aim in mind (to fund a poetry contest, or to help with printing costs, for example) should include this purpose as a note on the donation form.

We thank you for considering our request, and encourage donors to email thecolumbiareview@gmail.com with their contact information so we can mail free copies of the Columbia Review and send event updates.
